Profile

I graduated from Lancaster University in 2003, with a 2:1 in Art: Practice and Theory. (1st for paintings) I create paintings using a mixture of technology and fine art;The work highlights ‘what is seen but not looked at’; the perception of society, journeys and landscapes, we take for granted in the fast paced condition of modern life. Many of the places incorporated are relative to my life and journeys in the North West.

March 2003
Exhibited in the Astley Hall Annual Open Exhibition.
Winner of vote for favourite painting on preview evening, which led to an exhibition in Hungary.

June 2003

Szekesfehervar is Chorley’s twin town. I represented Chorley Council as the artist in residence at the 14th annual artists camp in Gardony. I worked alongside artists from Hungary, Romania, Germany, Italy, Poland and the Ukraine. The exhibition was shown in the Town’s Culture House, which is housed within an aluminium factory. Szekesfehervar council kept two paintings, for its collection, one which is housed in the Town Hall and one which remains in the Culture House.
